Group select supports to delete

Many times I wish I could drag a box across a group of supports and select that whole group in order to delete them. I often use the option to create a supports throughout an object and then erase the ones that are not needed. Many times those supports are in a cavity and are difficult to select. Hence some different ways to select them would really help out.
