when you set the process to stop printing at say 240 mm, but the model is 480 mm high, all the support needed for the model is still printed. That also includes the support that will only be needed above 240 mm, wasting time and precious plastic. For now I'll just stick to cutting my model into pieces, which also works fine. But I can't help to think that there are lots of people out there that don't know how or just don't care and are unnecessarily wasting material.
If only S3D were open source I would have done it myself
