Reduced extrusion at beginning of outline only with fast honeycomb infill

Recently, (since the last update to v 4.0), we have been seeing insufficient extrusion at the beginning of the first outline that occurs only when using fast honeycomb infill. We don't see that problem when using rectilinear infill. We have racked our brains trying to figure out why this is occurring -- slowing down the speed helps a little but does make the problem go away. Could this be a bug?

Oops, I meant to say that reducing the speed does NOT make the problem go away.

Have you looked at the G-Code? Are there retractions after your fast honeycomb infill? Are there then primes when the next perimeter is started? If so, then it's a matter of tuning the retraction extra restart distance such that you aren't underextruding at the start of the next outline anymore. It's the same concept as solving
Blobs and Zits just in reverse.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong in the G code. This all occurs without any retraction set.
