Generated supports!?

Hi All,

S3D is giving me some strange results with supports.

photos show this best, basically its generating support for one of the fins but not the other, they are exactly the same shape, height etc.

Any help or thoughts would be great.

Many thanks

Re: Anyone seen this problem?

Thanks for the info.. So printing with PLA at 230 deg C. 20% infil (honeycomb) with a shell thickness of 3.. Filament flow "looks" fine as the print is solid, no underextrusion. Filament is free to run, I have had poor filament feed before and it didn't look like this!? The lines (bulges) ...

Anyone seen this problem?

Hi all,

Has anyone seen this issue. The banding is very very regular, so much so it looks like its in the G Code and isn't a mechanical issue.

All thoughts welcome though.

Many thanks

Re: Large objects not opening..

Thanks, I tired that but no joy. The problem seems to be as its to big for the build plate in the XY, it scales in as 9999mm!? As said in Cura it opens and then I rotate it and it fits fine. Can anyone else open a object thats too large for the build plate and then scale it/rotate it to make it fit ...

Large objects not opening..

I am new to S3D, been using Cura for a few years. I have some models which I designed and I know fit on my build plate. They are not oriented correctly in my CAD but that never botherd me before as I simply opened the STL in cura and then re orientated it. In S3D it won't allow me (or doesn't appear...
