Re: Skirts not using retraction settings

Oh, I get it. Yeah, that makes sense.

Thanks-

[SOLVED] Skirts not using retraction settings

I have a model in which the first layer has multiple disconnected islands. Any skirt settings, whether for priming, or to increase the footprint for adhesion, do not appear to use the retraction settings specified for the rest of the model - retraction only seems to kick in when the actual model its...

Sliced output is ruined when scaling down the imported model

Examples are attached of the preview of the slicer output for Emmett Lalish's "heart box" at 100% and then again at 50%: While the 100% version is essentially fine, in the scaled down model, many of the polys simply vanish from the slicer output and make it unprintable. I've also included ...

Support G10/G11 retraction/recover commands.

Marlin now supports G10 and G11, which allows the firmware to control the retraction and recovery distances and speeds, as well as Z-lift if needed. While there is also a feature to try to detect slicer-inserted retraction/recovery code and replace it with the firmware settings, it will be far more ...

Re: Feature request: Seperate retract/recover speed controls

It's worth noting that Marlin firmware now has support for firmware-based retraction with different retract vs. recover speeds, as well as an optional "auto-retraction" feature that attempts to detect retraction in the incoming g-code and replace it with the firmware-based settings if the ...

Clicking "prepare" while a print is underway causes pause

If I've got a print underway, and I click Prepare in order to queue up a preview for some possible revisions, the print underway pauses while the main app is on the Save As... dialog. This raises another set of issues, which is, namely, it would be much nicer if we could preview the generated G-code...

[ADDED] Allow startup scripts to control warmup

Slic3r and KISSlicer both have the ability to notice temp commands in the startup script and disable their own warmup processing when those exist. Alternatively, change the warmup behavior of the app to allow both a heated bed and the extruder to warm up simultaneously, rather than waiting for the b...
