Guys,

I do allot of re-scaling of parts in simplify3d.
It would be awesome if they were rulers or the ability to set up a grid in x and y planes to measure stuff quickly and easily

Hi all, I am trying to print some parts for a prosthetic hand that were developed by another member of e-NABLE. When I process them for printing in S3D the side section is sliced off, the designer states they print fine with different software so I wonder if its a problem with my process settings in...

Yep, the author has now re-done them

On a side note whenever I try the identify non-manifold edges on the mac version (latest) it always just crashes ?

Guys,

I am trying to print some parts that preview fine but the toolpath prints them incomplete ?
Never had this problem before, can anyone help ?

I'm using the mac version - theres no options like that in the preferences.

Wonder if theres much difference between the mac and windows version ?

there does not seem to be a way to set simplify3d to work in mm for importing objects ?

am i stuck with just scaling it ?

This is probably a Fusion 360 problem but when I model something in Fusion 360 and measure it all is good and the correct size.
When I export it as an STL then import it to Simplify3d it is MASSIVE like 20 times to big.

Anyone got any clue ?

Hi all,

New to 3D printing, using a Wanhao 4S and Simplify3D.
Going well but think my printer might need more calibration, the top layer's of my prints do not look full ?

Any tips on the settings or where to start would be much appreciated.

This request is to add a feature when moving parts around on the mac version that the camera does not switch to the overhead view.

This makes moving pieces that are underneath other pieces difficult.
