Re: 4.1 Vase Mode Defect

Thanks for trying that out - I'll bring it into Magics on Monday and see what it can do (from what I recall, there aren't any limitations).

Thanks!

Re: 4.1 Vase Mode Defect

What program are you using? I'll see if I can clean it up in Magics.

Re: 4.1 Vase Mode Defect

S3D v4.0.0 - same distortions as 4.0.1

S3D v3.1.0 - I stopped at this version, but was curious what it would do. This had some small repeating defects.

Re: 4.1 Vase Mode Defect

For all of these I tried rotating the model, but the defects traveled with the surface they were on. From version to version, the defects were NOT in the same place. S3D v4.1.1 - this was supposed to address some vase printing defects, but for this print is the worst: 4.1.1.png As you can see, in a ...

Re: 4.1 Vase Mode Defect

Seeing some problems with all S3D versions going back to 3.10 (and probably earlier) with a specific model. First I'm attaching the factory file and stl from Thingiverse - you can see the original model here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1913982 Please note I also used an online tool to "fix" t...

Re: Impossible slice?

So, not everyone quite understood what I wanted to do - "The Bum" had an accurate description of what I was trying to do. RoboDLC was on the right track... which hinted at a solution: possible.png Two parts - a shell with a wall thickness*2 and an inner portion. I simply removed perimeters on the in...

Re: Impossible slice?

I’m going to try a few things tonight - I realize trying to print infill without a perimeter will be a disaster, so at a certain point this will just be an academic excercise. DLC’s suggestion gave me an idea...
