It's just I dont get any jams with either PLA / ABS using their own software (its about the only plus to it) So I just wondered if anyone else had that problem with PLA? Hi,
Does anyone else have a problem when printing with PLA?

Each time I try to use Simplify 3D with PLA it jams my nozzle and I have to remove the thing and clear out the extruder gears.

Anyone else got that problem? and a resolution?

Unless you're having a specific issue with the firmware, I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT UPGRADE. 3DSystems hates their users and regularly breaks things like filament workarounds and third party compatiblity. I've not upgraded in a long while, but you can see that a few people above may...

Does Simplify 3D and the CubeX script still work ok with the new software?

Yeah you guy's have done a lot of work with it all, the printer is far better. I'll tinker with settings etc for a different extrusion rate for the ultra resolution stuff.

Unless a triggered script action is available (tool change, etc) there really isn't anything you can do with this printer. you cannot slow the print down because you cannot slow the extrusion rate accordingly. your best bet is to print multiple martians. this will move the hot nozzle off the small ...
