Re: Top surface with PETg

Could be pillowing. Air in the pockets in the grid is expanding. Might need to print slower, maybe use a little bit of cooling fan. Try a lower infill %, the less plastic you have, the less heat you will have.

Re: 2 Process prints with a raft

Ok, so here's what I did: I have a single process, with a raft. I have my normal Start and End scripts. On the Scripts Tab in the 'Additional terminal tabs for post processing, I put this: {REPLACE "; layer 18," "M106 S0\nG91\nG1 Z100\nM0\n; layer 18,"} On layer 18: M106 S0 turns...

Re: 2 Process prints with a raft

That makes sense CompoundCarl, about the second process, and printing it by itself. So, from your other topic you linked to: Could I raise the Z and send the pause ('M0') command in the End script of the first process, then in the second process start script, have the Z lower back the same amount an...

2 Process prints with a raft

So, I have 2 processes, the first one stops and raises the Z axis, so I can insert a part in to the print. I use the 'Stop printing at height'. After loading the insert, I manually lower the Z the same amount, and start the 2nd process with the 'Start printing at height' set. I have a 'G90 ; absolut...

Re: Turn off unused Heater?

Also if you add a 'Per-Layers Temperature Setpoint' on the Temperature tab and set the appropriate temperature controller to 0 on layer 100, this should do the same thing?

Re: Mendelmax 3.0 Dual Extruder setup

Got it working. Checked with the M218 command, and the offset for X was -33.00 as it should be in the firmware. Then when I turned off the 'Apply toolhead offsets to G-Code coordinates' checkmark, and left the Tool 1 offset in the Machine Definition, my Print Preview matches what my printer is print...

Re: Mendelmax 3.0 Dual Extruder setup

So I found these in the Configuration.h: extruders (uncomment if using more than one and relying on firmware to position when changing). // The offset has to be X=0, Y=0 for the extruder 0 hotend (default extruder). // For the other hotends it is their distance from the extruder 0 hotend. //#define ...

Re: Mendelmax 3.0 Dual Extruder setup

Yes, have that checked on the g-code screen. Will delve in to the firmware and change it there.

Thanks,

Mendelmax 3.0 Dual Extruder setup

So in order to get my printer to print dual material, I set a g-code offset of 33.0mm in the X direction, for Tool 1. (The left extruder is Tool 1, offset by 33 mm). But in the Preview screen in S3D, it shows the 2 parts are offset by 33mm, even they are printing aligned properly. Is there something...
