If the parts are too close together on your bed, they will end up using the same brim settings since their brims would otherwise overlap. I have a few small parts I need to print, but I have 2 processes to print multiple pieces. Process 1 (PLA) has the same settings are Process 2 (PLA-Brim) but the smaller parts that require the brim are selected and the parts that don't use process 1. Having an issue with the hotend scaring the layer.

I know this topic is covered in the support section, but when I follow the directions it still happens, also I noticed the Retraction Vertical Lift only applies when the current layer is finished and it's going to start a new layer.
