Re: Impossible to remove retraction defects with S3D

You need to give Ideamaker a go to see what I am talking about. It's not limited to the Raise N2, I have tried it on 7 printers so far and get the same result. Create a printer profile in Ideamaker, export the "Standard N2" preset from the Raise3D N2 profile and import it into your printer...

Re: Impossible to remove retraction defects with S3D

Thanks for the tips... The extruder is calibrated to extrude the correct length and the multiplier is correct for the type and brand of filament. The images above are mainly for reference. I have similar results on other printers as well. My point is the retraction settings in Simplify3D don't seem ...

Impossible to remove retraction defects with S3D

I have been trying to remove retraction defects from my prints in Simplify3D 4.0 without much success. The printer I am using for most of this testing is a Raise3D N2. Using Raise3D's slicer Ideamaker I can get the printer to produce prints with no noticeable retraction defects on the skin of my pri...

Re: Feature Request: Provide support for 3D Mouse

A bit disappointed this didn't make it into 4.0. Perhaps it will show up in 4.1.

Scaling with multiple toolheads

I have a Mosaic Manufacturing Palette I use for multi-color prints. With the palette you use models setup for dual extrusion, center them on the build plate, and use multiple processes then set a different toolhead for each piece of the model. If you try to scale the pieces of the model they become ...

Re: Velocity painting

Here is a easy to use program that someone posted on github that does extrusion painting in addition to velocity painting: https://github.com/1bigpig/BitmapGWrap

Multiple instances can cause loss of settings

I have encountered an issue where I have lost changes to my printer and application settings when running multiple instances. It appears that the last instance of simplify3d that is closed will overwrite stored settings if they were changed at one point even if it wasn't the last instance instructed...

Generate Calibration Objects

Add the ability to generate simple prints to assist in calibrating printer and filament settings in simplify3d. - Have a option to generate a temperature calibration pillar and have it emboss the temperature on the pillar as it goes up. - Have the option to generate a extrusion multiplier pillar. Create a option for a wipe pillar

It would be nice to have the option of a wipe pillar and possibly a built in option to set a standby temperature. Right now I have a dual color nozzle where I place the unused nozzle at a standby temperature. When in standby It doesn't really ooze it just needs wiped before using the fully heated no...
