Re: V4.1 Issues with walls

Hi Doug, As PhillipM points out this feature was updated to help with cases similar to what he describes. The threads you mention that we have updated to claim the issue was solved are some of the cases where this now performs better. We have been collecting data from multiple sources to try and be...

Re: V4.1 Issues with walls

I quit using 4.1...... I am back to 4.0.1 until these bugs are solved. This one, in particular, made some easy prints fail miserably as I design some parts to be printed inclined and with 0% infill.

Re: V 4.1 Still with bad print time prediction

I print a lot of small parts and noticed this discrepancy with the new algorithm. S3D 4.0.1 Build Time: 48 minutes S3D 4.1.0 Build Time: 46 minutes Actual Time: 35 minutes I have an xyzprinting da Vinci 1.0A. Short time parts are always the worsts even with the more precise prediction tools like GC...

Re: V 4.1 Still with bad print time prediction

No one is going to be able to help if you just post a random time. If you want to give them more actual data that they can use, you probably need to include at a minimum: What printer you are using The time estimate from V4.1.0 The actual print time ATTACH THE GCODE FILE Just posting that X print t...

Re: V4.1 Issues with walls

Isn't this the same issues as in this thread: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11667 I think the number of solid top layers is only being enforced for the highest top layer only in the shape...and all other top layers are ignored. Yes it is the same. It is that feature "ensure wall ...

[FIXED] V4.1 Issues with walls

Using the same profile and part I am having different, and bad results with S3D 4.1. This part printed hollow like a charm with S3D 4.0.1 or other slicers. Now I was not possible to complete the print due to issues. Captura de tela de 2018-11-07 17-35-49.png With S3D 4.0.1 there some "support" for t...

Re: V 4.1 Still with bad print time prediction

Here is a graphic of my latest 60 prints comparing real time with Duet Web Control / Gcode Analyzer prediction with S3D 4.0.1. chart.png Maybe it is very precise with the default printers you can select but not for generic RepRap printers like mine. 4.0.1 times looks the same. Would be nice if we co...

S3D 4.1 - Still putting solid layers over air....

This is an old issue for me :D Captura de tela de 2018-11-06 12-53-43.png And then the first solid layer..... Captura de tela de 2018-11-06 12-53-26.png The first solid layer must go up to the infill borders at least. As a reference try the same reference file with Slic3r PE Factory file attached. p...
