Re: Marlin firmware on GEN6 electronics

I'm running on a 64-bit machine here so that shouldn't make a difference. The only hard coded response that is needed is the "start" message that the firmware sends after a successful serial connection is initiated. From the looks of it, your firmware is sending that response so I see no r...

Re: exporting G-code

Just click the Prepare button after you have the models and processes all setup and then choose the SD card as the destination. Prepare is essentially the button to slice and export the G-Code. We also tried to put helpful tooltips all through out the program, so you can try hovering the mouse over ...

Re: Marlin firmware on GEN6 electronics

One suggestion is that only one program can access a serial port at a given time. Some communication programs actually leave their serial ports open which means no other programs can connect to them. Just a suggestion to make sure that isn't going on here. Any reason you're all the way up to COM9? M...

Re: Marlin firmware on GEN6 electronics

Karl, I can't see any reason why Creator wouldn't work with your Reprap Mendel, or any other G-Code driven printer running Marlin for that matter! You are correct that for v1.0.3, you would need to change the baud rate to 115200 in Configuration.h. When you are trying to connect using Creator's mach...

Re: Machine control of M2 is goofy

That's a bug that's being fixed in 1.0.4, but you actually figured out a really creative way to get around it! We think it has to do with the extra blank lines in the gcode file since the software is waiting for a response, but obviously the empty line won't give one. Toggling monitoring on and off ...

Re: Bug reports: some helpful suggestios

You should be able to post pictures as an attachment. When making a post click the "Upload attachment" tab right below the posting window. Choose the file you want to upload and click "Add the file". Are those options showing up for you?

Re: Factory files, network workflow, auto perimeters, fan, g

The .factory files are intended to include all the models and processes in the current workspace. So you could have 12 models being sliced by 10 different processes (maybe it's every part you need to print for a new toy action figure), and you could save then entire thing to a single compressed file...
