Extruder Selection for Dense Support Material

It would be great to have an additional selection box in the support material section that gives control over just the Dense Support Layers. That way we could use different material for what is going to be actually in contact with the print without wasting tons of material printing the entire support structure.

This is especially useful when using expensive filament for supports because of some unique mechanical properties. Then you only need to use expensive material for the part which actually comes in contact with the print.

This feature could also be achieved with multiple processes if the Support Material Infill Percentage setting could be set to 0% See the attachment for a somewhat effective workaround.

Re: Extruder Selection for Dense Support Material

Why is it when a thread drops off the first page it goes invisible??

This is a duplicate request to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4921

Duplicates dilute the impact of the request......more posts on one thread may be the defining factor as to whether the request is actually built into the software or not.
