Micro Holes/Gaps?

Afternoon Simplify3D

I've been using Cura for over 6 months now & decided to make the jump to S3D!

I love the quality of some of its features & my printer seems to love the Gcode. I've got one large problem though, that I hadn't noticed until I look closer at my work & now it's driving me mad.I'm getting micro holes between layers, even when setting the layer wizard to print 5 or 8 solid layers at set points.

Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Thanks, guys & girls!

Re: Micro Holes/Gaps?

You could try increasing your extrusion multiplier very slightly (maybe +0.05) or try reducing the "solid infill underspeed" setting on the Speeds tab to see if printing a bit slower on those surfaces helps them get filled in better.

Re: Micro Holes/Gaps?

Looks under extruded.
Assuming you have a digital micrometer..
Print a 40x40x2x extrusion width using vase mode..
Measure thickness, should be your extrusion width, height should be 2mm
if thin increase extrusion multiplier too think reduce.
Get thickness correct first.
Then measure height, should be 2mm if too tall your starting height is too height if too sort the starting height too close.

Vase mode should print at your extrusion with so I don't think it matters the width of the model wall but I like to keep them equal since I am not sure.

Here are 3 that I use depending on my nozzle size and my extrusion width. This method works really well for me and only take a few minutes to dial in once you get he hang of it.
