[ALREADY ADDED] Variable layer heights in same printout

Hey,
I am new to 3D printing!
Owns a MP Mini Select, started with Cura freeware but was not satisfied with the printout quality - lots of blobs!
Then bought Simplify3D and got totally different results - it is like night and day...

Now to my suggestion/question:
I think it would be good to have the possibility to have higher resolution on the outside layers than the internal layers.

For the MP Mini Select the Z-steps gives these optimal layer heights in mm:
0.04375
0.0875
0.13125
0.175
0.21875
0.2625
0.30625

as an example I would like to be able to have 0.0438 on the outer 4 layers (variable of course) and 0.175 on the internal layers.

Thanks and take care all,
Axlin

Re: Variable layer heights in same printout

You can do this already I think. Just set the main layer height to 0.0438mm, then go to the Infill tab and tell it to "print infill every 4 layers". Then the infill will be 4x0.0438 = 0.1752mm thick (printed once every 4 layers).
