Re: First Layer "holes"

@ JIMC

The factory-file from the repaired STL >>> attachment. Earlier factory-files are deleted or modified too often while testing and seaching the fault.

I tried also this thing from ThingIverse: heart_big.stl because an user in an other forum had difficults with Cura and I would help him to look how S3D does handle this thing .
The fault was the same, raft let open a band in the middle.

Re: First Layer "holes"

horst, it seems to straighten it out if you check the "disable raft base layers". once you do that it looks normal. if thats not checked though it does some funny stuff.

Re: First Layer "holes"

Yeah, thanks!
I'am very sure I have tried all possibilitys but there was no success. Only the new installation of the program was helpfully. And with version 2.2.1 there is a new game going on.

and I hope that one day I can read out the millimeter values for process changing directly or the number of the layer ist sufficient.

Re: First Layer "holes"

Hi guys,

I am still "fighting" with my settings.

Here is a calibation object that I am trying to print with a new filament but the layer are not aligned.

Anyone know what do have I change to have nice and soft layers ?

Thanks in advance

Re: First Layer "holes"

Alot of that looks like a heat soaked part. Did you print that by itself? Something small like that is hard to do by itself because each layer doesnt have time to cool. You would really need to print maybe 6 of these at a time. Or print it along with somethin else. You can also add a 3-6 layer skirt offset maybe 2cm with # of layers set to 9999. Be sure your fan is on for pla. Looks like you may be overextruding as well but you cant really tell with the part being heat soaked like that. Do another one and keep it cool the you can work on fine tuning your settings
