Have you tried the zip folder I included above? It's working for my friend who has a Malyan M180
I guess your friend is not telling the truth.

"additional terminal commands for postprocessing"
Windows :
Code: Select all
[install_dir]\gpx [output_filepath]

no matter what one enters here. is only for the post-processing.

and the gpx.ini will not be processed.

I am now working with S3D.
but only with SDcard.
I save about "Toolpaths save to disk". e.g. "print.gcode"
then I open cmd
run "gpx -c gpx.ini print.gcode print.x3g"
copy print.x3g on sdcard.
print it.

will write in the closest days a manual.
I just need more time for English.
mother tongue German.

I use gpx [output_filepath] in my scripts tab > post processing command for and it works for me...

Re Malyan M180 and S3D. The machines 'Default Offset And Calibration" > 'Home Offset ' dis set to X 154.6 mm and Y 76.3 mm which leads to a print start/center way off to the left. It seems to bare no relationship to S3D print process settings. I have experimented with X at 116 mm and Y at 75 mm which, gets the print somewhere close to center. Has anyone struck this problem and solved ?

Nope, i have the same problem
preheating sequence OK
homing OK
start printing : Z goes down, X to opposite, Y the same.
this problem occur in usb printing.

for now i'm using makerware 2.40 with custom profile of replicator dual ( retuned by myself)
But well let make it clear, this printer is crap ! i'm not far from throwing it to the vendor face.

When i print using makerware, i have some problem too, the Z zero value, seems to be fluctuating, some time everything goes well, some time it print with 3mm z offset...

With the modified gpx.ini installed ( Mac ) the S3D software runs like a charm. I tend to agree that the M180 is "crap" but for the money, it is workable.
Regards the random centering of prints .. setting the X Home Offset to 132 mm ( for Right extruder ) seems to overcome this random problem. What the Factory reset Default of X 154.6 mm relates to is ??? . It may have something to do with hardware's confusion as to the Left and Right extruder distance ?? Just guessing !

Ok after many & many try, i couldn't succeed using s3d... so i stay on makerware 2.40 ( i try to hack the other version ).
I succeed producing some part with this software. The only remaining bug is the Z offset who seems arbitrary don't know if it's software or hardware dependant.
I'm going to make a wiki about that...

If someone succeed using s3d in direct usb print, tell me , if not i will refund my licence ( 2 weeks period )
And my next one will be a makerbot original ;)

Can you post a screenshot of the communication log when s3d is trying to connect to your m180?
