Maybe they have been bought out or have made enough money already?

Guys - this is a user forum. Email them directly if you want to ask their employees things. This is a place for users to talk.
I've emailed with them at least 5 times this week and they are definitely still developing stuff (since I've been helping them test things

)

It's coming up on a year now since the last update. Previous to that, it seemed we were getting minor updates every few months. In the 3D printing industry, a year is like an eternity. Things are changing very fast - Simplify 3D doesn't seem to be keeping up...

Admittedly I've been really hoping to see an update as while I use S3D daily (and prefer it 100% over Makerbot's software) it's still got its bugs and could have so many useful features - a bit of communication from the team would be nice

The times I've been involved with software companies that do make noise about development, that also pissed the users off because updates were always so far delayed from initial promises and features that were announced early ran into issues so some were dropped. Can't make everybody happy, and these folks aren't breaking any promises by keeping quiet.

That is essentially what I said ten posts ago.
What users do not grasp is the difference between a promise and a hopeful schedule.

I'd be happy if they just fixed the missing layer issues. If I drop 4 models in and print, it misses layers off 1 or more of the models. If I print the same model on its own, no missing layers. It can't be the model at fault.
Don't worry about new features. Fix the current ones.
