Sure. But that would be a separate feature request, not realy related to this one. So perhaps to avoid confusion, you could create a new topic for it (or see if there's already one)?

+1 waiting on this functionality before I buy Symplify 3D, until then I'll stick with Repetier workflow.

Being able to upload files to the printer is great but having control of the printer is even better.
I can have control if I want to be tethered to printer, whole reason for putting in Octoprint was so I wouldn't have to be.
the missing component is S3D having full control over Octoprint just like it would over USB
