Different Settings for Different Regions of a Model

yes i am only using 90% infill for the bottom. i have tried many different mm heights from about 5mm to half of the model and nothing works. i then use 10% infill to print the top. but it doesnt work

i might just try it like the creator says on thingiverse do this below and pause to insert glue and bb's ... but what does a .27 slice refer too

0% infill
2 shells
.27 slice
support will be needed

once printed a small hole drilled in back to insert bb's and glue
(one could possibly pause the print and insert at that time as well)
