I tried it and it does not work. V4 does for the same STL.

It's the Steerman. So far all the wing parts I have tried have been like that.

That's the Edge you have shown there. I tried the B25 as well and it didn't work. I haven't tried the Edge yet as I didn't buy that model.

It looks like some of the later designed planes are ok. The A6M2 and the Bungee both sliced fine for me. But none of the others I tried sliced properly. So far I've tried the following:

Spitfire MK XVI
Spitfire MK IX
BF-109H/F
BF-109F3
B25J
MIG-15BIS
P-47N
P-51
Q-Trainer
Steerman

Yes, it really looks like this feature is behind it. The "v5" way was how PrusaSlicer treated the geometry from the beginning and in later versions, they made the "v4" way of slicing as an option to allow the slicing of our models. The "v4" behaviour is crucial for this type of model.

@S3D-Jason if you need any test files, please DM me. I can provide/test all of them.

Tried a Wing from B25, Q-Trainer and P38. B25 and Q-Trainer looking OK but the P38 not. There is missing some structure under the red marked part.

@ InspGadgt What file exactly did you try? Wing L1? I will try the same one here just to be sure it´s a general problem from S3D or maybe settings or whatever. I use S3D 90% for printing Airplanes and if it doesn´t work I don´t need it.

Looking at those pics it looks like you have some setting that is filling in gaps. The green sections in the picture are not normally there. That could be why it worked for you.

Yes wing 1 parts left or right. Odd though...I checked my B-25 files and while Wing 1L doesn't have the inner structures...Wing 2 LR (what you have pictured) does have the inner structures. My Q-Trainer Wing 1 LR doesn't have any inner structures.

Ok so this is strange...when I loaded the B25 Wing 23L file and sliced it, it sliced fine. I loaded another file then came back and re-loaded the B25 Wing 23L file and this time when I sliced it 1 piece had inner structure but the other did not. So I tried loading and slicing it again and this time both pieces did not have inner structure. So it seems that while it may load fine the first time, that may not continue to be the case the next time it is loaded.
