I am new to Simpify3D. I just spent a few hours making a model in SketchUp. I exported it as an .obj file. When I try to import it into Simplify3D I get junk. What am I doing wrong???

Mind sharing the OBJ file so other people can try it out?

as 10 said, you would need to post up the model so we can look at it but sketchup is not a solid modeler. its a surface modeler and is know for exporting bad models. its not the best software by any means for 3d printing.

I believe you can export an STL if you use this extension: https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/sketchup-stl

To avoid having to flip the model in S3D, you can just select the whole model and select "Reverse Faces" and then export it from SketchUp
