Lots of layers and first layer not starting at 1

Hiya,
First time poster
Yesterday my gcode preview starting being weird.
It was showing a huge number of layers (23000+) and nothing showing up in the preview until the later number is on the 100s
Can anyone shed any light?
I was on 4.1.0 but updated to 4.1.2 but the problem remains.

Hi,
maybe you switched from layer to line view accidentally?
There's a small dropdown box (Preview by:) at the bottom of the preview window.

I can CONFIRM this.
The gcode file has a lot of commented out lines and setup gcodes. When the file is previewed in S3D, it counts those lines that IT SHOULDN'T. The count should start from the FIRST "G1 X" or "G1 Y" command and EXCLUDE all others.
See attached pictures. The first movement of the first layer starts at line 227. The gcode has 226 lines of comments and setup commands. The first G1 X/Y command is on line 227.
All scripts should be immediately ignored. The only lines that should increment the counter are those starting with G1 X or Y.
There are a ton of little details that need to be ironed out in this software. I love it regardless but some spit shine would really make it less aggravating to use sometimes.

in no case can this be changed! This shows the line in the file, which can be changed in the file.
