I was just able to reproduce this myself too on a MacM1 with OS13.1 as well.

Maybe I should’ve mentioned that I have a M1 too, maybe it’s only affecting M1 Macs?
S3D also shuts down sometimes when using CMD+Z, but honestly I give up for now, there are just too many bugs.
I’ll come back later if there are any updates..

Seems like it is only affect some MacOS versions. I have 2 computers where it works fine, but others said even just upgrading their MacOS version on the same computer led to crashes.

I am running Mac OS 12.6 on an Intel CPU. When I crash because of the variable settings wizzard, I get this error...

Just wanted to let everyone know that Version 5.0.1 was released this week and it included a fix for this issue. After you update to the latest version the problem should be resolved.
