My Wanhao Duplicator 4D makes about half a second pauses on perimeters between features.
For example, a rounded rectangle:
- First line, pause, arc, pause, second line...
- On a hole: first circle, pause, second concentric circle, pause...

Internal walls and infills don't have those pauses.

V4 never did that pauses.

Any configuration mistmatch?
I'm using my V4 configurations.

Are you printing over USB or from the SD card?

It's possible the pauses could be retractions, so I would also listen to the extruder motor to see if you hear it moving during the pause, or check the gcode for extra retractions in those areas.
