Bend to my will S3d or else - Solid Layer issue?

OK I am going batty here. I WANT this layer to be solid. not part solid not in segments SOLID right across no exceptions and it REFUSES to doit

Closest I can get is this
Clipboard01.jpg
THIS is what I want (this is the next layer)
Clipboard02.jpg
NOTHING I have changed so far will force this obstinant code jerk to do what I want :-) if it was biological I would have already bitten it. hard :-) hehehe

I created 2 processes. it IGNORES me outright and still does this

I told it to SOLID and HEAL the model. it ignores me outright and still does this

I told it I want a solid diaghram at 7.2mm (this layer) it ignores me outright and still does this

WHAT can I do to force this program to bend a knee to me and do what I want !!! Grrr :-) hehehehe Grrrrrr

S3d is a bit on the smart side with slicing. its part of why I still like and use it. it just does a damned good job. but sometimes I NEED it to do it my way. when I tell it to do something it should put 100% of its smarts asside and do as i tell it to do. Grrrr

Suggestions?

Can you please share your .factory file so that we can look at the settings?

Thanks!

D.

In your process, if you go to the 'Advanced' tab and turn off 'Identify Bridging Regions" your 2nd
last layer from the top will be printed in a solid, uniform manner (S3D won't apply bridging settings).

No bridging.PNG

Since it's a relatively small model, things should "bridge" nicely.

Hope that helps,

D.

Other tab spent a few seconds going huh then saw your image :-)

Thank you. that fixed it. the "small bridges" are guarenteed to fail with a 0.6mm nozzle 0.4mm layers. but a solid layer will work just fine.

Odd setting not sure how to address. its one of those I would never think of bridging but once you see its bridging "of course" it makes sense now.

I still think solid diaghram setting should "override" all other settings in this regard OR it should alert me hey these 2 settings conflict.

I wonder if the wood filament will make it sound different.

Glad that I could help. I find that with S3D, there's a lot of "cross-controlling" going on... that is you need to set one (or more)
setting(s) to some ludicrous value in order to get the result that you're looking for. It's been that way for as long as I've been
using it (since v3).

Let us know how well the whistle prints with a wood filament as well as how it sounds. :D
