Simplify3D User Forum

I have an issue with Simplify3D where travel lines are over the printed part and the trace can be seen in the printed part.
I'm using version 4.1.2
I've configured "Avoid crossing outline for travel movements", but I cannot see any changes in the print head travel.
Attached a screen shot of the travel movements (in yellow) of the first layer and how it looks in the printes part.

been along time since v4 as well as I quit using S3D v5 some time ago with my P1P and K1 Max due to I feel the manf more than likely provides the best config with these newer types of printers.

That said I am surprised no replies yet but then maybe that's a twist their arms approach to you should upgrade (not taking this discussion there).

But, what if you could possibly set the Z lift higher during travels - again - winging it here not even sure if that exists.

There's one thing coming to mind, but I can't check because there's no factory file...

If you enable the "avoid crossing outline"-option there's another parameter to look for, the "max detour factor".

Looking at the object and not knowing where retracts are located my guess simply is a too low detour factor.

If avoiding crossing the outline would create a travel move longer than "(detour factor) * direct travel length" it will be omitted.

But, what if you could possibly set the Z lift higher during travels - again - winging it here not even sure if that exists.

What do you mean, do you have z lift enabled or not?
