Hello

this is my first "big print" using simplify 3d (6 hours).

Im using a Wanhao duplicator 4s.

I think the slicer missed one of the layer as you can see in the attached pictures. What do you think that could be the problem??

I don't see any issues with the gcode from the files you attached, so more likely the extruder had an issue for one layer. It can be caused by a lot of things. Inconsistent filament diameter, a tangle in the reel, a partial clog in the nozzle, etc.

I was about to post the same thing - mine decided to forget a layer on the outside of the model, but the gcode preview looks to be fine.

the gcode preview doesnt lie. if its there in the preview then the code told your printer to print it.

As everyone else has already pointed out, the gcode preview will show you if the code is wrong or your printer had a problem. The longer the print, the more chances there are for your printer to mess up. :(

Looks like a machine or extrusion issue...

Have you tried other projects at which are the same height to check that the machine is okay? Or just try raising the extruder through that portion of the print and listen or observe any abnormalities.

Could be that the filament was "caught" on the reel...
