I'm doing some experimenting with a 20mm hallow cube. Using a Hyrel3D printer.



I'm getting extra material in the corners with the floor and the roof. Also at the top around the edge there is a tiny bit of a ledge.

Would the coasting settings fix this?

I have one corner where it moves from the inner wall to the outer wall.



It's moving at full speed between the two. Causing the corner to be extremely ruff. Is there any way to control this speed or ram up and ram down of the hot end?

You're saying that the movement from one perimeter to the other is what's actually creating the blobs? That's pretty weird. That's such a tiny movement and any machine with decent positioning resolution should be able to do it just fine without having such random positioning of the corners.

You might want to try lowering the "XY axis movement speed" on the Other tab. Perhaps it's just moving too fast for what your printer can handle. And coasting would really be a better option if the blobs were being formed when the nozzle was completing the outer perimeter. So if they are there right from the beginning, then I'm not sure that would help (but you're welcome to try!)

Slowing down the speed helped clean up the edge.

The corners with the floor and roof are still creating blobs.
