Simplify3D User Forum

Hi all..

I am a 3d printing newbie but have had some good results so far. This print is my first that requires Supports .

For Some reason S3D wont auto place the supports and when i manually place them i end up printing a stringy mess.....

Some tips or Guidance would be appreciated.

3d Printer is a Qidi Tech 1

Material is PLA

I have successfully printed the Outer Spheres and Button, i just cant get these internals done....

add a factory file if you want help. otherwise no one can see your settings

Thanks for the heads up, I am actually going to Flip it around ( a bit counter intuitive) to see how that goes.... IF that fails i will post the Factory File.

Couple of hours before i Get home from work so it may be tomorrow before the result is known...

Not looking too good again. Looks like it is trying to print supports in Mid Air.

Funny enough, I just watched this video about adding S3D supports for this exact model!

in order for the automatic supports to generate when using manual supports. you have to hit the generate automatic supports before adding the manual ones. once you press ok SD3 will not generate any other supports.
