I agree! I am printing airfoil sections with a single perimeter, and 2% random infill, to keep the weight down Because the airfoils have curved surfaces they tend to be pulled inward because of the shrinking material, so they deform. Having standard infill that forms a "rib" seems the buck...
O, sorry, Ill take that back..... It not the program, its the idiot behind the computer setting up the left extruder whilst printing with the right extruder....
Hey! I have got the same problem! When the extruder moves to the starting point of new a layer, the pla does not extrude for 5 to 10 mm leaving gaps in my prints. So I started to fiddle with retraction settings and extra restart distance by creating different processes that print 5mm high and then t...
Yes, I have got the same problem with a complex stl file with lots of holes in it! The slicer swaps the infill to the holes and leaves the part hollow! It does that only at certain layer heights. I have tried just about everything to fix it: Changing layer heights. Fixing the stl within Simplify3d w...
Hello, I have gotten into 3d printing with my creatr to make strong flexible mechanical parts. The best material I found so far is this “bridge” nylon, but as anybody who has printed nylon before knows it strings a lot… I think I know all the standard tricks ( like: drying, wiping, coasting, tempera...
I think it has something to do with little uneven bumps that occur in the same place in every layer. This will then add up to a big bump. try making a rectilinear layer in between with 25% infill, any unevenness will be pressed downwards in between the mesh. I also learned this way that 100% infill ...
Hello everybody! As I have learned a lot from this community I want to share a solution to a problem I had: The Simplify3D software did not start. It use to work just fine, but after an update of my graphic-drivers the simplify3d program did work anymore. Even after uninstalling, redownloading and r...
