Dual Hotends Startup Script

In the startup script we set the extruder temperature directly so that we can turn off the hot end cooling fan during warm-up and then turn it back on afterwords. Here is what we've been using for a single hot end: M43 ; turn off cooling fan M140 S[bed0_temperature] M109 S[extruder0_temperature] T0 ...

Please make profile change prompt optional

We try to minimize changes to our print profiles for consistency. It would be VERY helpful if there was an option in the system settings that disabled the popup you get when you change from one profile to another in a project, i.e. the dialog that says "Do you want to save the changes you made to 'P...

Re: Strange thing....

Same issue here. Mac OSX with Simplify 3.1.0. Importing files sometimes cause them to have incorrect (9999.0) width/depth/height. They don't appear on screen and can't be auto-arranged (or printed). Dragging and dropping the same file works fine.

Any updates/fixes for this?

Running external python script?

I have a python script that I wan to run automatically on the G-Code output from Simplify3D. I'd like to do this at the post-processing step. But I don't see a way in the scripts settings to trigger an outside script/application to run. Is there a way to do this? Note: the script performs a very com...

Re: Slicer behavior for thin walled sections

I will throw my vote in to add an option to allow the path to exceed the shape slightly. The approach of reducing the extrusion width does not produce the same result and is much more likely to cause jams. I have tried this approach and found it to be unreliable. Note that this is not just a "minor"...

Re: [DONE] Add support to only one model, not all

Could you please change this back to Not done? It isn't done. And it's really annoying. I had yet another project today where this made my life significantly harder.

Re: [DONE] Add support to only one model, not all

The above recommendation sort of works... After using the custom support tool to generate supports on all objects (must select individually), go back and remove supports manually (don't use "Clear Supports"). TIP: use a large "Pillar Resolution" for the objects which you'll be deleting supports... ...

Re: Change to Supports Behavior

I just use the custom support dialog. Just select all of the parts that you want support for and leave the other ones deselected. Then click "generate automatic supports" and it will only add support material to those specific parts This doesn't work. It looks correct on screen but if you try to pr...

Add support to only one model, not all

I'd like to suggest a change to the way the add supports flags work. I often want to print multiple objects where some have supports and some do not. Currently there is no way of doing this without adding supports to *all* of the objects and then going back and manually removing them from some of th...
