Re: Unwanted flanges on flat parts

Very helpful, thanks. In my case the mating surfaces are halves of the same object, so this might may not work, but I'll give it a try. Currently, a first layer width of 60% (printing at 0.2mm) has it nearly eliminated for the PLA currently being used. Good to have another option to experiment with...

Re: Unwanted flanges on flat parts

I've put the remodelled part on TV, so would this help?

The thingiview view shows the bevel pretty well.
If not, just let me know and I'll sort out a pic from Designspark.

Customisable snap-in machine controls in build preview.

I like to see a snap in panel (perhaps inset into one corner of the 3d view) with user customisable buttons. The panel could be set to "on" every time the preview opens, an example of a simple config might be extruder temp, bed temp, emergency stop, home all. It would just save having to o...

Mouse wheel over build sliders scrolls through build

If the mouse pointer is placed over the sliders in the build preview, rolling the wheel would scroll through the build layers/lines.

Zoom sensitive panning.

It would be nice if the panning rate was related to the level of zoom. Ie the further one zooms in, the slower/less it pans.

Relative E

Hi all, I'm new to S3D. I have a couple of Mendel90's. This printer uses relative extrusion and eg in Cura if I didn't set that in the gcode the extruder would go nuts spewing out filament like mad. Now I've not got a single issue (so far) with S3D. It prints perfectly, brilliantly in fact, but I no...

Re: Unwanted flanges on flat parts

I've just remodelled the wades large extruder gear that comes with the M90 to include a bevel on the bottom surface. The standard one needs to be filed down all the way round so it mates properly with the small gear. I printed it last night using S3D and it's worked out really well, requires no sand...

Re: Hello all! Prospective user questions.

Haha, By the time my post was moderated, I'd already bought the software (mixture of finding the info I needed online and sheer impatience and excitement!) Loaded without problem, config was a breeze and my first print was simply fantastic. Latterly had a small issue with the x height setting on my ...
