Relative E

Hi all,
I'm new to S3D. I have a couple of Mendel90's. This printer uses relative extrusion and eg in Cura if I didn't set that in the gcode the extruder would go nuts spewing out filament like mad. Now I've not got a single issue (so far) with S3D. It prints perfectly, brilliantly in fact, but I notice there is a setting in the FFF for relative e and I don't have it checked. I'm only printing direct to USB at the minute so don't know if this setting just affects gcode exported to SD?
It's working really well and I have no compliants I'd just like to know what the situation is with this?
Cheers

Re: Relative E

The setting affects the GCode produced by the slicing engine. Whether you're printing with S3D directly or saving the GCode off to a file to print with some other software or via an SD card, it's all the same GCode.

Thanks for that dsegel,
I wonder then how I'm getting such good results?
I suppose I should just keep taking the tablets......
