Re: Retraction is not working anymore with 3.1

I have the latest version, and it does specifically generate M103's. Redownloading is NOT a fix.

Re: Retraction is not working anymore with 3.1

Definitely seeing the unneeded M103 codes with the option unchecked. This is definitely the kind of error that should be caught in testing.

Re: Version 3.1.0

A quick test looks like they dealt with the sparse infill every N layers issue I started a thread on a little while ago. I still have to poke at it a bit to make sure though. Personally (and I do understand this doesn't apply to everyone) I could care less that they support other printers as mine ar...

Re: Difficulty printing #3DBenchy

Extra retract can cause issue on higher detail parts with lots of retractions, i.e. the top of the cabin. You can also see the divot in the smokestack which is caused when you don't have enough material there (due to your negative length on retract). Temp seems on the higher side as well, the missha...

Re: Sparse Infill every N layers

Remember that this setting increases the layer height of the infill. So if you are printing at say 0.2mm layer height and put a sparse infill every 2 layers that infill will be extruded for a 0.4mm height. If your nozzle is too small then the problem you are experiencing will happen as a 0.4mm nozz...

Sparse Infill every N layers

gcfaceplate.factory When I select "print sparse infill every" lets say 2 layers, it does not start infill when it should. With 4 bottom layers enabled sparse infill starts at layer 7, and not layer 6. This causes issues with poor bonding to the bottom skin layers. I tried to contact suppo...

Re: Retracts too long with 3.0.2?

At the moment running smoothie ware. Going to try changing that to see if there is any effect on the same g code. Another somewhat bizzare result that I had forgot to mention is that there was one other thing that showed up when I "diffed" the files. The total filament length was different...

Re: Retracts too long with 3.0.2?

Little more work on the issue. I did use kdiff on a pair of g-code files where the only difference was the presence or absence of wipe on retract. The differences we exactly as expected and only were related to the wipe on retract motion. Some of the code isn't as clean as it should be in regards to...

Re: Retracts too long with 3.0.2?

I have changed to relative extrusion distances and still get strange retractions and completely consistent significant blobbing in the same areas of prints which does not happen when wipe while retract is turned off. When wipe while retract is on most of the print looks great except for those glarin...

Making firmware settings "stick"

Hi all, new software user here, and I really like what I see so far. It's quite possible that I'm missing something obvious on this one, but I'm having an issue where settings that I make don't seem to "stick" between prints. Previous to this I had been using Simplfy on my laptop to output...
