Re: 20mm calibration cube issues

Okay. Sometimes it's the obvious, sometimes not. Best bet would be to reload the Creator Pro profile from the config assistant (Help menu), then compare skeinforge settings and Simplify3D settings. I've done all that as well. But Skeinforge offers settings for only a small fraction of the variables...

Re: 20mm calibration cube issues

Um, are you actually printing ABS like your factory file says? Because that looks a bit like what happens if you try printing PLA with ABS settings. You'd want more like 205°C extruder temp and 60°C bed temp with active cooling for PLA. Well, the label on the hatchbox spool says ABS. And, when I sl...

Re: 20mm calibration cube issues

There would have to be some very extreme overheating going on for the plastic to curve that much with such a small part. Are you sure you set the right temperatures? Do you have the cooling fan enabled? Bed temp is usually 110C. I have experimented with temps from 105 - 130C. Extruder usually 230C ...

I posted a plea for help with my pint problems, and got the very reasonable response that I should submit some pictures and a factory file. I can click the Img item on the bar at top of the message editor, and I get . I've tried inserting a url to the pics of the problem print, but only the text of ...

20mm calibration cube issues

I’m nearing my wit’s end (usually not a long journey), and would really appreciate some help. I print with a FlashForge Creator Pro, using a glass plate for a bed, and ABS juice for adhesion. I’ve been having problems with some prints. I’ve been through the print quality guides on Simplify3D but hav...

Re: Extruders turning off at start of print

IN an different thread, I received this response But my guess would be that your nozzle is too close to the bed, which is why it doesn't extrude. You can read more ideas here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/#not-extruding-at-start-of-print I leveled the bed using t...

Extruders turning off at start of print

This post is moved from an earlier thread about extrusion failure. see priming extruder issue by HauntedMaestro » Sun Feb 14, 2016 1:27 pm When I attempt to print, the head moves to the front right corner of the bed, then extrudes a bit of filament, then begins to move the print head as if printing...

Re: priming extruder issue

My problem appears to be someplace in the printer settings. I tried may things, but the result was always the same, If I sliced using S3D, the printer would extrude a little at the right front edge of the plate. Then turn off the extruder and just go through the motions. If I sliced the same print w...
