Re: Dual Material Support Structures

do a process for the part as, material one do a process for the support with lets say 5 interface layers se interface to 0% dence at 20%, material 2 do a process for the support with the same amount of interface set interface to 60% and dense to 0%, material 3 this will do what you suggest, its just...

Re: Separate printing speeds for each extruder

I use multiple processes for the same layer.

for example I separate Support material as a different process. you could even do perimeters as a different process, or infill.

Re: meshmixer (tree like) type support

I agree, even if it is much simpler.

Re: Material/Quality Manager

My 2 cents: anyway to organize settings a way to back them all up at one time (I have over 20, it takes a while to backup) I have multiple hotends, multiple extruders , many types of filaments some by multiple brands, and multiple colors. My profile list is a jumbled mess. Save as new should default...

Change fan speed for outer perimeter

Having the ability to change fan speed for outer perimeters would be beneficial in some applications, I believe it could help greatly with overhangs when printing with petg at higher temperatures for higher strength.

It would likely help a little with other types of plastic as well.

Outline and Brim Pathing

If you have one part with multiple points of contact to the build plate and brim is enabled s3d will do one perimeter of each brim and cycle back through. This is inefficient and time consuming, having it complete each "island" then move on to the next would be optimal. There is a similar ...

Re: Support Error

No need. I see where their loyalties are, I figured out a fix, without changing the model, proving even more that it is a software issue. I will begrudgingly share it, since the developers unlike other modern companies and nearly all companies in this sector will respond and talk to their users (in ...

great to see no response or acknowledgement of this issue, starting to doubt the future of this software.

Support Error

On multiple models if I have support turned on S3D will hang up on "Looking for Overhangs" it will stay there for hours, I have left it to see if it would actually continue. After a while S3D will be at 100% CPU (8 core AMD 4.2ghz if I recall) and will be using multiple gigs (I have 16gigs...
