Re: Best way to achieve anti-scarring using V4?

I believe the original Ender 3 supports using the M0 gcode command to initiate a pause, so you can simplify things a lot by getting rid of all the processes and separate gcode files. With only 1 process remaining, add the following to Edit Process Settings > Scripts tab > Post Layer Change Script: ...

Re: Best way to achieve anti-scarring using V4?

The new anti-scarring features only exist in V5, so there's definitely no way to get similar improvements from V4. From reading your post, it sounds like the main issue was mostly just that your printer wasn't pausing where intended. V5 has some new post-processing syntax, so I think this would hav...

Best way to achieve anti-scarring using V4?

Hello. I tried upgrading to V5, specifically because I was having issues with scarring on the top layers on my 3D Prints with V4. The scars were really bad. https://i.imgur.com/OWP3yI6.jpg I was looking forward to the anti-scarring feature, so, I purchased the upgrade to V5, turned on "Force Re...

How to accomplish multi-color prints with printers using Z-Offset?

Hello. I am trying to accomplish making multi-color prints with The Variable Settings Wizard , but I seem to have no luck. I've accomplished this with all my other 3D printers, until I got the Ender 3 Max Neo. The Ender 3 Max neo features an auto bed-leveling sensor and a Z-offset. The Ender 3 Max N...

Re: Scars/Scuffs on surface of prints?

Remember, this GCODE is only part 1 of 2. I split the model into 2. I should have provided the 2nd part for less confusion. In fact, here you go. http://www.mediafire.com/file/9m16sybabyz8wir/Kamidogu_OW_Black.gcode/file The 2nd part is colored black that you see in the pictures, and it's a 2nd GCO...

Re: Scars/Scuffs on surface of prints?

I also should let you know, there are supports generated, because there's a keyhole on the bottom of the print, so people can hang this on their wall with a nail. This is a product I intend to sell, once I perfect the scars issue. The gcode you added does have supports, yes. But there is absolutely...

Tips for preventing a warped glass bed?

Hello. I am wondering if anyone has tips or tricks to prevent a glass surface on a heated bed from warping? The problem is, my warp is happening upwards, where the center is higher than the four corners. https://i.imgur.com/NeGoIOo.jpg I drew a red curve to make the bend more apparent, as it's trick...

Re: Scars/Scuffs on surface of prints?

Hi, It does do a vertical lift, but it creates a string of filament dragging across the surface, still creating scars. And yes, "Only retract when crossing open spaces" was checked! I'll have to try it without that. While it's propably not the single cause you should check support generat...
