Re: It's always a great day for asking about V5!

Hi, I think that S3D is still great for professional use, and I do not embrace the line of thinking which leads to change for the sake of change. Anyway in the last years are emerged a lot of useful functions (ex. gyroid infill) and new print strategies, it would be nice to see them implemented in a...

Re: How to disable the the printed line at the beginning of each print ?

Hi Skerge12, the issue does not depend on S3D. I suppose your are using some print profile that you have imported into S3D. So if you look inside the Scripts > Starting script tab you will find the instructions that are followed by the printer before start printing, including the G1 command(s) that ...

Re: starting script bltouch

Hi, this is an example for RepRapFirmware, please go reading about GCode in order tailor the script on your needs. Consider that just after G29 you can insert the commands to bring the nozze in the park/heating/purge area, while after G92 E0 you can insert commands to do some works before start prin...

Re: reduce resolution

So IMO there's nothing "ideal" about joining them, it's actually easier to vendor-lock user so one can use only your filament and only your resin and only buy stuff from you but brings nothing to the table for the user. And again, even in that case, the preprocessor and the executor talk ...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi Arhi, I'm into this kind of research and my opinion on this subject is totally different. It's ok to say that G-code is not an universal file, but in the real life we use it more or less in that way. Only the machine firmware is able to know where the machine "sweet spot" lie, but we op...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi greybeard, if you try to export a single layer (ex 0.2 mm) cylinder in different STL resolution you will observe that S3D will not mantain a linear relationship between the number of triangles of the cylinder surface and the number of G1 instructions. Slicing a perfect cube is also an illuminatin...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi, there's no such thing as an "Resolution" option in S3D, you have to play with the usual parameters in order to speed up the print (maybe try also to increase the minimum lenght deposition value for infill and single extrusions.) I'm sad, but you are tied to the approximation-intepretat...
