Was also wondering about this, read this:

I'm almost 100% sure you need a firmware that can be manually controlled (1.1J on my da vinci 1.0) for the bed leveling wizard to work. It works for me, but I'm on a firmware that allows for manual control.

Re: Bed Leveling Wizard Question.

I tried the wizard and it seemed to get rid of the Z offset I had to set in Simplify3D. Does it store a value somewhere? I only had to do minor adjustments to the bed but the 2.98mm offset had to to be reduced to zero. I like it but I don't understand what happened. Like I said, I only made minor changes to the hight of the bed during the wizard, definitely not 2.98mm. Does anybody know for sure what it does in the software?

Thanks...

Re: Bed Leveling Wizard Question.

Isn't the point of the bed leveling wizard to remove the need for using an extra Z-offset? In my mind, if you successfully level the bed using that tool, then by definition your Z-offset should be zero.
