Is it worth it?

Is Simplify 3d worth the cost? I see a whole lot of troubleshooting topics, all very similar to what I see on other sites supporting free software. Thinking about diving into simplify, but browsing the troubleshooting section didn't incourage me to spend the $$

Re: Is it worth it?

3D printing definitely has a learning curve. For now, I would be amazed if you find ANY forum where there aren't a lot of questions like that! Thankfully they also have a very active support staff that's been super helpful anytime I really needed assistance. You can also ask on here if you want, but their support team is great.

If you are 3D printing a lot, I think the software is definitely worth the investment. I definitely saw a quality improvement, and there's a lot of things that are huge time savers (amazing slicing speed included).

However, if you don't print a lot and you're just making one or two toys for fun, then you might as well stay with the free stuff. But this is a great solution if you need the best quality and your time is actually worth something.

My printer hasn't stopped printing in the 3 months I've had it, so I probably print enough to justify it. I was just curious how others felt after they got it. Live support does sound very nice.

Its definitely worth it. It has a TON of features though so it can get confusing. I wont even touch my other software after buying this. I like how they have pre-sets for just about every printer.

They have good support too ( actual support not this user forum )
