well since the cat is out of the bag here is a list of things fixed or added in 3.0 that i have found. this is not official. just what i have found. i dont want to hear anyone say that s3d devs dont read the forum and listen. they really did great on this one and either fixed or added a ton of features that people have asked for.
1: infill patterns
2: mirror function
3: memory leak seems to be fixed
4: move models on the table in groups.
5: scale by measurement
6: factory file now saves scale
7: 3d transform gismo. move and rotate models in 3d
8: wipe walls and towers
9: retract wile wiping
10: avoid crossing outlines while performing travel moves
11: your custom profiles are saved and handled differently
12: separate meshes
13: undo
14: select a surface to place on the bed
15: slicer speed has been increased big time
hmmmm, i know there is more but cant think off the top of my head
We can't get everything in one go. I work for IT-company and know what it's like to update software. Quick fixes are not made even if they are important because they need to think the big picture -> verify the bug -> come up with a solution that does not brake anything else -> testing the solution, regression testing against the previous solution version. Also there is the shipping schedule that you don't want to mess by taking new fixes to the package, since you never know how long it will take to fix the issues etc.

That seems like it should be no 1 priority...
I just did several comparisons and they definitely fixed that issue. It's creating much stronger bonds for all of the prints that I've tried. Here's some comparison pictures: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1809&start=40#p11726
Ah yes, it does seem improved in that scenario. I was expecting to see it joined with full infill instead of just at the perimeter. I was testing it with only two perimeters, and it still fails to support the inner-most perimter. The way Cura does it is still superior.
The new version with new infill options is just fantastic! It solved all the problems I had with the previous version. Congratulations to the development team for the excellent work!
