[SOLVED] Problem with Lulzbot Mini Autolevel

Ok I just received my Lulzbot mini and have setup my Simplify3d software for the default lulzbot mini profile. I then upload a stl file and hit print. Everything is going fine so far. The hotend goes through the heating cycle and then the machine does the nozzle wipe. After this g29 is setup to run in the "start g-code" but this never actually happens. In the command line area I see g29 runs but the autolevel feature doesn't work. If I leave the printer alone it starts to print in mid air maybe 10mm off the bed. So I canceled the print and went into the command line and manually typed in g29. Then the mini actually does the autolevel like it should. Somewhere there is a disconnect between my startup g code and the printer actually doing this step. Any idea what it could be?

Re: Problem with Lulzbot Mini Autolevel

Some printers that run G29 (like the PrintrBot) don't respond well if the Extruder is too high in the Z-axis when running. If you have the Printer homed when you start your print, does that work?

You should always home all axis. (first X Y then Z with separate command or in some cases It'll home in the middle) then run G29 - I find this gives much more consistent results for the bed measurement.

Re: Problem with Lulzbot Mini Autolevel

Ok I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything. The problems still persists. I have installed Cura and set it up for the mini(they have their own version). I added a part and hit print. It went through the entire process with no problems. This would indicate there is an error in the simplify3d software. I see this person is having a similar problem. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3288 He said the problem started with version 3.0.1. Is there anyway to install version 3.0.0 to verify that the new version is the problem?

Re: Problem with Lulzbot Mini Autolevel

Ok I think I have the problem ironed out. I basically moved the G28 X0 Y0 to just before G29 and now it works. I think that if the homing of x and y earlier in the sequence isn't letting the G29 work correctly. Here is a thread on lulzbot explaining better.
