First print with S3D, see pic. Advice ?

Hello,

My first attempt is successful on a Velleman Vertex - see picture https://imageshack.com/i/p7SOOWPyp
- It looks like the sides are not well integrated with the inside material. Can I define a kind of overlap somewhere ?
- Picture is showing the top of the part, can the finish be bettered ?
PLA, 190°C, heated bed 50°C, default parameters of Simplify3D for Vertex K8400

There's a setting for that. Go to the Infill tab and increase the "outline overlap" value. I would add an extra 20% to whatever yours currently is.

Hello,

Holes etc are smaller than drawn and there is a gap with the fill.

Is there a way to corrrect the size of inner holes ? Outer sizes are spot on.
Repetier/Cura does not show this problem, any idea ?

As I mentioned above, you should also increase your "outline overlap" percentage on the infill tab. Whatever value you have it at now, I would add about 15% to that. S3D's great print quality guide also explains this one: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... nd-outline

Correct those issues first, and then check to see if the holes are still too small. If they still are after everything else has been fixed, then go to the Advanced tab and you can use the "horizontal size compensation" setting. For example, if you make that setting -0.05mm, the walls will all shrink by 0.05mm, which means your holes will actually EXPAND by 0.1mm (2*0.05 since there are 2 sides to the hole).

Yes, the guide is good.
I already changed the outline overlap from 15% to 20% and was bothered that the perimeter being too small is the prime reason for not bonding.
Will try more overlap and also some other options as suggested
