Brim Printing

I have been using a brim around my models since the very first time. Now it has quite and I have no idea why. I thought it might be not enough of the model touching the build plate but I put a flat modle on it and no brim. Checked and unchecked the box, no luck. Ideas?

Re: Brim Printing

Attach your factory file (File > Save Factory File). Otherwise we are just guessing...

Re: Brim Printing

Thanks for asking but I found it out with a little help. Somehow the layer height box got checked and therfor it would not print the brim. How it got changed I have no idea because I do not mess with what is working fine. Thanks again

This relates to a problem I'm having...

The reply above implies that if you change the first layer printing height, it won't print a brim/skirt. That fits with what I'm experiencing, but I need to print a skirt AND print starting at a higher height because the colorfabb XT won't stick with my standard Z=0 height. Any suggestions?

Re: Brim Printing

i have the same problem, if my model gets to wide, the skirt disappear, even then there is plenty of room for it.
but i really need that skirt or my print fails...

Re: Brim Printing

Also,

If you have a negative global z-offset that is greater than your first layer height, is disables the brim.
