Retraction on strange places??

Just buy and installed Simplify3D
I have not made any prints with it yet on my UM2.

I would like to make "clean surfaces" and using the "choose start point closed to the specific position" however Simplify3D seems to will make a retraction in the middel of a path?? (se attached).
If I want spots in my print, I might as well continue to use Cura :-)

Any suggestions?
Is this a bug?

Well it's pretty hard to tell just from the picture. Can you post your factory file? You would then also probably have to tell us the exact layer/line where you see the issue, since it looks like it's a fairly big print!

File is attached.
I can understand the need for retraction on the angled wall, but between layer 130 and 240 there is a lot of retraction in the middel of nowhere.
I have defined the start points to be on the back of the boots.

Re: Retraction on strange places??

Those aren't real retractions. If you look in the gcode file, there aren't any retractions taking place. The only ones that are "real" are the retraction dots where you have a rapid movement connected to it.

I'm not sure why you're seeing the retractions on those other layers, but if you print the file it should be fine in real life.

Ok. Thanks for your answer.
I must admit that I was hoping that "what I see is what I get". Otherwise I don't know what I get.
