Spiral Mode Z axis movement not regular

Hello All,

Fairly new on this software 2 weeks experience.

I am trying to use spiral mode to print a 'round' from a gun (bullet).

The process starts well but by the time around 10 sprays have been completed it is obvious that the Z axis is stepping down at a rate higher than the extrusion width and the extrusion starts to miss the existing structure and eventually fails altogether with the extrusion just feeding into thin air.

Do I need to change a setting, maybe the Machine setting, to cartesian (circular volume).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am on a Wanhao Duplicator 4 dual machine that otherwise performs faultlessly at all times (might regret saying that).

Perhaps you are under-extruding? Or the overhangs are too large to only use a single outline?

Hi, thanks for the reply. No overhangs to speak of just a vertical cylinder really.
Under extruding is a possibility which I will check.

Biggest thing is I can actually see with the naked eye the gap between the extruder and the model grow with every revolution!

Will update later on when printer has finished its current project.
