Multiple process support material on bridging boundaries

Yes, is is pretty specific. Day j have a model with an overhanging part at 6mm. Say I want that overhanging part to print at 100% infill, but everything else on the model to print at 25. So I divide up 3 processes. 0-6mm is 25%, 6-11mm is 100%, then from there to the end is 25. Well, if I put that first process at 6mm, I get NO dense support for the overhanging section ruining a print.

At first I figured it wasn't considering the model above it, but then why generate support at all? Nope, it made sparse support right up to 6mm. Click the process over a layer to 6.2 and dense support is created. So just the dense support generation is ignoring what's coming on the layers above the current process. Just wasted 4 hours. Thanks!

Re: Multiple process support material on bridging boundaries

Not sure I understand your description. Can you post a factory file and a screenshot showing what's wrong?

And just so you know, the software will give you a preview of where the support material will go, so you can always check these things ahead of time if you want
