Holes in walls affect speed and print quality

Hi,

I have the settings producing good results except for one situation that I've tried to
fix but so far I can't.

See the example below:

The overall quality is great but there some clear marks aligned to the holes in the wall.
I know there is some gaps at the far left but that should be due excessive retract, what I mention
is the visible horizontal mark that match the holes.

That can be also seen and matches the preview:

So it seems that there is a speed change that produces that artifacts in the print.
I tried and see if I could find a parameter that controls that but none seems to help.

Also tried to reduce speed hopping it would get more even but no, the preview continues to show the difference
in speed.

Any ideas how to improve this?
Thanks

Re: Holes in walls affect speed and print quality

If you don't want the speed to ever change, then just disable the options on the Cooling tab that adjust the speed for different sized layers.

Re: Holes in walls affect speed and print quality

Thanks, I had already disable it before.
Actually noticed a massive increase in quality after doing it but on the tests above it was already disabled.

I'm starting to think this is not just speed related but also links to rectract.

My extruder is a direct drive and I was using 1.80mm / 25mm/s for rectraction. (left)
Decided to change to less, to 0.80mm due those gaps seen in he photos above: (right)

So the gaps are gone but not the artefacts moved more to the inside of the part.
But the marks are still quite visible aligned with the holes.
